Viewing Multiple Remote Video Streams

Is it possible to view multiple remote video streams simultaneously over the mesh?

A "Hollywood Squares" display would be great for special events and emergencies.  A friend told me this is possible with VLC, but I have been unable to figure out how. Thanks!

Not an AREDN Question...

It's not a question for this team.  If you can figure out how to do it on your local network (LAN), then AREDN should support it... providing you build the network with sufficient bandwidth to accommodate the multiple streams.

web cam vendors have products that can do this. Sometimes they are free downloads. One I have is called SmartPSS - Smart Professional Surveillance System - it is associated with Dahua who make a *lot* of cameras.

I use Zoneminder here at Home

I use Zoneminder here at Home. If you dont need to record the video VLC would be a simple solution to viewing multiple video streams. zoneminder can be a little tricky to get going but is very robust.

I use iSpy to view my cameras on the mesh.  I am sure that there are better ones but I am happy with it.

www.ispyconnect.com  I have version 6.2.4.0 running on a Toshiba windows laptop.  I have displayed as many as 5 cameras at a time.  There is a little latency but is very usable.  (My grandkids like to see themselves move a fraction of a second later.)  It is even usable with a home system to record after a change of video (like the cat moving in the frame).
