"Use local or network GPS to set location" setting - how does it work?
How does setting the location from a networked GPS work? Does it use gpsd? Does it use the
WhereAndWhen plugin?

Is there an apk version of WhereAndWhen? The gihub repo only seems to have ipks and AREDN V4 seems to prefer apks.
 
I tried downloading WhereAndWhen using the web admin's list of available packages but I don't see any way to administer it, and it didn't open any new TCPIP ports on the device.

Bump - never got an answer.
Bump - never got an answer. Based on some discussion at https://github.com/aredn/aredn/issues/2367 the software seems to try to get the position from the AREDN world map, which makes no sense, because the AREDN world map location is based on querying the node. Moreoever, most nodes do not have connectivity to the internet, so this option would be useless anyway.
