Upgradding older Ubiquiti hardware currently running on pre 3.20 versions

I've been away from AREDN for quite some time, life and the pandemic got in the way, I have a number of older Ubiquiti systems still running on earlier versions of firmware (3.16 and 3.19).  Are there any gotchas I need to be aware of going to the latest version, and can these older systems (all are most likely on the sunset list) even run the newer firmware?  Systems included (all are M2 2.4 GHz devices) AirGrid M2, Bullet M2, Nano Loco M2, and one AirRouter M2.

older NBE upgraded fine to the latest from older firmware
Bill I had the same problem, but was on a nightly build that, at the time, was the only way to run AREDN Mesh on a nanobeam locl m5.  I had no problem upgrading to the latest firmware. That said one of my NBE had problems from years ago and would not allow me access to the LAN.. HOWEVER I was able to upgrade the firmware over the MESH and all was fine.  They are both super stable for me now!
