Group,
I have doing a solid round of testing with the mesh. With the help of the threads on here and other resources I have been able to set up a functional FreePBX with different extensions. I have just started to get my feet under me with setting up linphone app, soft phones, and my grandstream phones. The next step is researching what may be the best sip truck provider. I have gone through and reviewed most of the treads that I could find in here with regard to recommended carrier. Some of the posts looked a bit old.
The question is what is todays preferred provider that will play fair with freepbx and the mesh?
Thank you for your time.

I have used them for several years and the service they provide has been great!
Most importantly they excellent technical support.

voip.ms plays fair with RasPBX.
RasPBX is a Raspberry Pi 'frontend GUI for FreePBX'.
I chose the $0.85/month + 1 cent a minute plan.
You might find other plans that suit your usage.
Hope this helps, Chuck
I also use mostly the GS Wave app on my phone. I used to use Linphone, but GS Wave is a little easier for hybrid AREDN/PSTN operations (which I still haven't perfected the way I want it to work).

Sorry for the late reply on this.
I was thinking I would get an email when there was a reply. Low and behold Im behind the eight ball. I suppose I will need to go turn that feature on. Thank you for the great impute. I will dive into this and see where things go.
Thanks everyone!
Thank you for the recommendation from the group. I was able to get a Voip.ms account and made it to the point where I could make an outbound call to the rest of the world. The bummer is I know I still have a ways to go with the configuration.
Part One.
I am able to call out to the real world but not in. I wanted to see if you wanted to trade configuration notes for voip.ms and free pbx?
Part two.
I have the inbound line set to come directly to my desk at the moment. I will also be looking to set up a directory to get the incoming caller to the proper extension. So far I haven't got a clear understanding of how that is configured. I think I know where the change is made but not sure what its supposed to look like.
Thank you in advance!!

I shot you a PM.
Thanks and 73,
Thanks for the help last night! After we got done, I reached out to the Voip.ms provider and found out that in the copy and paste in the config for the inbound and outbound route I still had the default server locations even though I selected the server in my area in voip.ms. Once I was able to get that changed back I was immediately able to call into my IVR.
The downside was as it was getting late last night I was cleaning up a pile of other small items I ended up breaking it again... lol. Sigh.
I know you and I talked about the vocoder setting and I wanted to ask the rest of the group. Do you just use one vocoder in pbx that lines up with your trunk provider or do you match up all of the available options?
I have a pile of other questions but for right now I am making really good headway and loving it.
