Switch for DtD with independent remote control of PoE on all ports

Hello All ...

I would very much appreciate your views on which switch would be my best choice to make Device to Device connections that can be remotely controlled across the AREDN network to apply PoE to its ports individually.  I would like to have at least 5 ports on the switch.

Here's the plan.  Remote Site A has a hap ac lite with it's DtD port connected to the switch in question.  Also connected to this switch are two BaseBox 5 / mANT 19S combinations.  Only one BaseBox is powered at any given time and the other is a backup, hence the need to remotely control PoE on the switch ports.  There is a similar setup at Remote Site B.  These two sites are connected by a private vlan provided by a commercial provider.  It is my intention to connect the sites on each end of that vlan thru a port on the DtD switch.

Also, can someone please confirm that my plan to connect the two sites thru the DtD switches is proper?

Many thanks for any and all input and suggestions.

A diagram would be helpful...
Many of us use the Ubiquiti ToughSwitch 5 or 8.  I think they recently renamed these devices EdgeSwitch 5XP and 8XP respectively.  They both offer remote management, have controllable PoE, and support VLAN for breaking out LAN, DtD, and WAN.

Thank You

Andre,

Thank you very much for your suggestion.  This looks like the perfect answer for our application.  Are you aware of any guides to configuring this switch for use with AREDN?  Diagram is attached.  Please let me know if you require greater detail.  :)

Again, many thanks for your assistance.

Best regards,
