Suitable equipment for high site access points
Hello all.  My club currently has 3GHz nodes deployed at our high spots for user access to our AREDN mesh.  Given the sunsetting of this band, and obvious difficulties of prospective users acquiring compatible equipment, I am planning a migration to 5GHz in the very near future.  To that end, I am looking at the Ubiquiti airMAX lite 5AC (LAP-120).  I've skimmed a few AREDN deployment discussions, and haven't seen this particular equipment specifically mentioned.  For context, our current longest link (that isn't point to point dish style equipment) is approximately 15mi.  Would the LAP-120 be a good fit for this use case, or should I look elsewhere?

You didn't mention distances.  If they're quite long, a RocketDish + Rocket 5ac Lite is your best bet.  For closer in, the Ubiquiti Litebeam ac Gen2 works very well.

In any case, choose products from AREDN's Support Devices List.   And buy 802.11ac devices, rather than the legacy 802.11n stuff.
