SNR chart: Average vs individual nodes
I tried searching the forum for this topic but was unable to locate any prior threads on this.

When I bring up the SNR chart on a node that is connected to more than one node, I sometimes get the ability to select the SNR to individual remote nodes, and other times I can only get an average of the nodes' SNR.

Is this an expected behavior?  Is there a way to only select a specific remote node's SNR data?  It makes it difficult to assess the link health to a specific remote node as I deploy my AREDN installation.

Thank you!

Drop-down
There should be a drop-down selector where it says "Average".  You should see all the connected nodes.

Works for me....

Sometimes I see it, sometimes not
Yes, I'm referring to the drop-down selector.  When the node I'm examining is connected to more than one node, sometimes i see the individual nodes listed as additional drop down menu options, and other times the only option is the average reading.  The ability to view the SNR from individual nodes is inconsistent.

If a node is not showing in
If a node is not showing in the UI snrlog archive selection AND the node is still showing in mesh status as a neighbor, then something is amiss.

If you are able to telnet or ssh into the mesh node, inspect the directory "/tmp/snrlog".  There will be a file of the 48 hr history, with samples taken every minute, for each neighbor.   A data file is cleaned up at some point, if the node has not been heard from.    If there is data here for a node, and it is not displayed in snr archive in the UI, then we would need to further inspect what is going on.  If there is a neighbor in mesh status, and there is not a corresponding file in this directory, then there is something going on with capturing the data to investigate.

That makes sense...
Ah, that makes sense.  As I have been tweaking settings and rebooting nodes, sometimes several times a week, I can't guarantee that nodes have stayed on the air continuously.

When I come across a node with multiple neighbors and without the ability to select individual nodes in the pull-down menu, I'll take a look at the /tmp/snrlog directory and see what I find.

Thank you for the guidance!
