SNOM D765
I might have an opportunity to acquire several SNOM D765 phones. I see there's a SNOM 300 on the "list" here: https://www.arednmesh.org/content/ip-phones-used-mesh

Does anyone have any pointers, or sample setups to try? The menus seem quite different from some of the Cisco demos I've seen (here and YouTube). It's been a good decade since I've played with VoIP-anything.

I was assigned a number for Washington County OR (washco-pbx). I get it registered and can call through the PBX, but can't get into voicemail - keeps telling me incorrect password, plus *97 doesn't bypass the extension number. I am always asked.

The other thought is ... the last firmware update for these phones from SNOM is sometime in 2021. Would that be a concern?

Should I just get a Grandstream or Cisco phone?

Thanks,

I got the voicemail working correctly now, with the direct access from the phone. There was a typo in the PBX configuration.

The thoughts on the SNOM phones still stand, though - any pointers on how to configure "all" the options would be cool (notice "all" in quotes - many features will probably go unused in this scenario), whether the older firmware is a concern, etc.
