Plans to field firmware for LHG XL 52 ac?
Are there plans or an effort to field firmware for the Microtik LHG XL 52 ac? -- dual band version of the LHG XL 5 ac.

Can the firmware for LHG XL 5 ac run on the LHG XL 52 ac?  It looks like both units have the same microprocessor and memory architecture.

The Mikrotik Product Code for the LHG XL 52 ac appears to be RBLHGG-5HPacD2HPnd-XL.   I did not see that number in the list of OpenWRT supported devices. The RBLHGG part of the product code brings up no device with "52" in the model name. That usually means no AREDN support.

Thanks Tim for checking and your response.  I was hoping if anyone has tried to use the LHG XL 5 ac firmware on the LHG XL 52 ac since the architectures of the two appear to be similar with the exception of the LHG XL 52 ac having the additional 2GHz band.  I haven't found a listing of new devices the AREDN group is planning to release firmware for either.  I accidentally purchased the dual-band unit given the somewhat similar names.  I may end up trying to load the LHG XL 5 ac firmware and see what happens.  I will see if I can get a copy of the factory-installed firmware to revert back to the commercial baseline if needed.  73, Doug
