Just did a reset on a NSM5 because I changed config so that I was no longer able to connect (set as access point). I get an IP address for the unit of 192.168.1.1, and am able to connect with a browser, but the default password and the old password no longer work.
What is the password after reset

Defaults are:
User: root
Pass: hsmm
This applies for both a brand new install, and the 5 and 15(which is the same as a reinstall) second resets
After setting-up the tunnel, redirecting port 5525 to the node, and rebooting, I cannot enter the password that I previously assigned to the node. "hsmm" and "password" do not work either. Instead, I get an error message saying that my site is not private. When using MS Edge, the error message received is shown below. I get similar error messages using other browsers. My device is a Mikrotik hAP ac lite. Anyway out of this conundrum?
Quick glance: Are you by any chance trying to use "admin" instead of the actual user name "root"?
There is a reset back to intial password and longer reset back to "firstboot" but not sure the exact details for that hAP.
BTW: I have one and call it my "Swiss Army Knife" for Mesh. Joe has worked miracles with this device, but I'm still hoping that we'll eventually get the ability to put one of the node radios into client mode for Wifi-to-WAN connection.

Don -- do I ever feel like an Idi0t!!! The problem was that I have two nodes: one using HSMM-Pi on a raspberry pi and the other on the Mikrotik-- the user name on the raspberry is "admin".... All is good now-- thanks thanks to you! BTW -- I am in Prescott, AZ, not so far from Las Vegas to tunnel if there's a reason. AREDN MESH is just starting up here with interest rising quickly.
