Is anyone looking at MikroTik's Knot Gateway HL9 (https://mikrotik.com/product/knot_gateway_hl)?
Looks promising as a HaLow node with many additional interoperable features to include GPS, BLE, 2.4Ghz Wifi, and LTE).

a) has to be supported by OpenWrt, and
b) has to make sense in the overall AREDN scheme.
A number of those features you mentioned aren't supported in the AREDN software at this time, also (e.g., BLE, LTE...)
