Hello fellow hams,
I am reaching out to the ham radio community in Anne Arundel County, particularly in the Pasadena area, to gauge interest in starting an Amateur Radio Emergency Data Network (ARDEN) mesh network. Living in the Pasadena region, I have great access to anyone living along Fort Smallwood Road, I believe leaving my house, I can network to Dundalk in Baltimore County, certain parts of Baltimore City, and even some areas in Kent County.
My current location in the Lake Shore area of Pasadena somewhat limits my range. However, I am exploring ideas to enhance our network's reach. Notably, I have secured access to the top of a tall building in Severna Park, which would be an ideal spot for establishing a solar-powered node. Additionally, I have potential sites in Catonsville and Ellicott City that could serve as strategic points for our network to expand into Howard and West Baltimore County.
