what have you found to be the best instructions ?

https://arednmesh.readthedocs.io/en/latest/arednGettingStarted/installing_firmware.html#mikrotik-first-install-process

My RB952 has taken over 16 minutes to reboot after a firmware load.
Just because the lamps momentarily stop blinking after about 4 minutes, does not indicate that the install is finished.
The device may respond as though 'bricked' until the firmware install has finished.
I hope this helps,
Chuck

CHARLES E,
CHARLES E, that bit of feedback is shocking ... the processor speed. Very help. Sorry I have not responded sooner as I have been busy with W.

Maybe not ... the processor speed.
The delay in updating the firmware in my RB952...(hAP) may be unique.
The delay in updating the firmware in my RB952...(hAP) may be memory write/rewrite speed and not processor speed.
If I am to assist you in loading AREDN firmware onto your device, you must be following instructions on this site.
If you are following other instructions, please let me know so I can delete my responses.

You could try flashing
You could try flashing openwrt first, then use that GUI to flash the upgrade firmware to aredn. https://openwrt.org/toh/mikrotik/rb952ui-5ac2nd_hap_ac_lite

Out of respect.

Out of respect.   (GREAT ADVICE)
As a follow-up on my off-time from work, I spent a bit of time loading the firmware and so we are now active again.
Solution Report::   What I did was loaded the firmware (again / reload) as per the directions from a YOUTUBE video about title subject.
sincere thanks for the help to the users within.
