How to delete forum comment?

I made a comment on a topic in a forum, but decided to move it to another location.
I tried to Delete my comment but wasn't allowed. Is that deliberate? Or something that could be enabled?

only a moderator can delete

only a moderator can delete (you "the author" should be able to edit)
