GS105e v2 typical install
Confused by all the choices.  I want to link the internet, my Ubiquiti Nano node and a Win 10 laptop.  ​Netgear Prosafe GS105e v2 what would be a typical install.

Not sure what you mean by
Not sure what you mean by "typical install"...  if you are looking for info on how to configure that switch, go to the SOFTWARE menu on this website and then NETGEAR SWITCHES.

Does that help?

For 1 mesh node, a Laptop,
For 1 mesh node, a Laptop, and access to internet, this would do the trick:

https://www.arednmesh.org/content/gs105e-1-lan-3-node-1-wan

There would be 2 additional ports open for other devices on the mesh network, e.g. voip phone and ipCam.

should I upgrade the firmware to 1.6.0.3 current version is 5.4.0.3

on the switch?  Yes.   newer
on the switch?  Yes.   newer versions no longer require the Adobe Air Client as they added a web browser admin interface.
