fyi and a question...

Thought I'd share what we've been going thru for the past couple of days in Las Vegas...

We have two, 5GHZ sectors on High Potosi, 26 some miles SW of Las Vegas.

Sunday morning, Rick, k7fyi, and I discovered our 40MHZ B/W, 5GHZ link between us was down.  Also, we no longer had a stable connection with our other DtD nodes, they'd constantly reboot.

We each dropped all but the 40MHZ link, rebooted, and got that link working.  We then added a DtD link, one at a time.  All was fine until I powered on my 5GHZ link to the Potosi 172 node, a PtMP.  I could see the node in a wifi scan, but couldn't link.  I then switched to the Potosi 175 radio, a basic MESH ad-hoc.  As soon as the link was established, I began to drop connections with my other DtD nodes.  Powered off that radio, rebooted and all went back to normal.

The next 24 hours were uneventful, no problems when I isolated both Potosi nodes from Rick and I.  About 6 hours ago one of the Potosi site owners started to remotely reboot what he could.  I was able to connect with Potosi 175 with no problems.  Our DtD nodes didn't drop.  Potosi 172 is still unreachable.

Obviously something infected our network.  There's numerous tunnels in the Las Vegas valley.  Is it possible an internet link was open with one of the tunnels, and something came thru and did this to the entire Las Vegas network?  And I mean everyone.  There's still a couple of sites that show in a wifi scan, but aren't reachable.  We need to contact those site owners and get them to reboot.

Firmware is a combination of everything, below is the Grafana graph.   (I'm the one running nightly 1012 on all my nodes)

Potosi 172
Rick was able to reboot Potosi 172, it re-established its DtD with Potosi 175, and promptly took all the nodes down in the Valley.
