If anyone questions what foliage can do to a 5 GHZ signal..
I have a 7 mile, 40MHZ b/w link with k7fyi. We've noticed a steady decline in snr and speeds over the past few months.
4 houses from k7fyi is a palm tree. About 0930 this morning the neighbor started trimming said palm tree.
Shortly after 10 our snr had improved by 15db. Thruput went from 160 Mbps to 300 Mbps.
