Definition for a couple of terms: DtD? hAP?

What is a "DtD"? Seems to refer to a connection between devices.

What is a HAP or hAP? Seems to refer to a type of node.

DtD is Device to Device - a direct wired connection between two or more nodes.
hAP is the Mikrotik (rb-952ui-5ac2nd).  Very commonly used as a home node.  Very powerful and inexpensive.

Thanks! I though DtD might have something to do with devil ethernet devil crossover devil cables. devil. Luckily it looks like most devices have Auto-MDI these days and I have a bricked WRTG54 that still works as a wired hub just in case.

Correct on Auto-MDI
Correct, most devices will Auto-MDI these days.  Also note that DtD is using VLAN 2.  Most non-VLAN aware switches will pass (and ignore) the VLAN header, so they will work just fine as a DtD switch when you need more than two devices connected.  I am using a little eight port dumb switch to link three devices here at my house.  Works just fine.
