Change SSID
Hi,
I have 2 nodes and a third on the way.
Will it cause any problems if I change the SSIDs to WA9KJE-1, WA9KJE-2, and WA9KJE-3?

Also, where can I find information on setting up internet access so I can check connectivity over the mesh?

Thanks,
Sonny

Sonny, while it is possible
Sonny, while it is possible to set the SSID to something of your choosing, all nodes on the same band must have the same SSID to connect and create a mesh.   The SSID defines the group of nodes on a given channel that will connect up to form the mesh.

Unless you have one of the newer AirRouter HPs supported in the beta, you'll need to aquire something like a netgear GS105E to setup a 'WAN' port on a mesh node. The how-to area on this web site has instructions on configuring this switch.   Then go into "basic setup' and check the "advertise gateway" box on the mesh node.

Hi Joe,
Hi Joe,
Thanks, I will set the SSID back to AREDN.

I have the GS105Ev2 programmed as:
1 Node
2 LAN
3 LAN
4 LAN
5 WAN

I will look for the "advertise gateway" box.
I assume this should be set on the node that has the WAN only.

Best,
