Hi, Mike:
Yes.
Why are you asking this question on an AREDN forum?
I run pilinbpq on a raspberry pi 3B and it has a RMS gateway.
My linbpq server is a service on my local AREDN network.
My local AREDN network is linked into the AREDN world map.
My BPQ is also RF active on 80, 40, and 30 meters HF using
FX/AX.25 and IL2P protocols.
I have an AREDN linked neighbor in an adjacent county that
submits a weekly report to a county Winlink net. His connection
to my RMS is via RF.
I few times I have sent a Winlink report over RF to that same
neighbor's RMS service.
IMHO, (pi/lin/win)BPQ emulates Winlink RMS and/or Winlink Express.
I have used 'pat' a few times in the past to 'check-in' to a local 'winlink net'.
I do not, now, remember how I did it.
Well honestly I was looking for someone who has successfully set this up.
I would like to add a Winlink Telnet service to our AREDN network.
I could sure use some pointers. I have linbpq running and I can successfully telnet to it and login, but I cannot get a successful PAT connection, either from the UI or from the command line. Would it be OK to send you a winlink to take the converstation off Forum.
I'm also waiting for a sysop account from winlink.org. I'm not sure if I'm missing someline in the bpq32.cfg I saw examples online of people doing it, but they didn't share the config settings.
I have shared 100% of my knowledge of Telnet, Winlink, RMS, and CMS.
AREDN plays a very minor role in your endeavor.
I suggest that you seek assistance on a BPQ forum. Perhaps, bpq32@groups.io.
In our local AREDN mesh we have a variety of nodes for Winlink access. Some are true Gateways that send traffic into the CMS system. Some are stand alone RMS Post Offices, and some are linked(syncronized) RMS only Post Offices. To the best of my knowledge, with possibly one exception everyone is running RMS Relay (the key to the whole thing) on Windows. Some of the Windows installations are VMs on ProxMox servers, but the key to all this is that RMS Relay has to be happy for anything to be possible.
You have to be a sysop for an internet connected station that is running RMS Relay to allow the system to register the SSID for the new station, no matter if it is AREDN only or a hybrid of network and rf. So be sure to get your approval as a sysop. The folks at Winlink are very helpful.
