After Flashing Microtik GHL5 dish
I finally think I got my flashing and BASIC set up completed. the device rebooted after each procedure. I can' figure out how to get back to  NOCALL to veiw node status without going through Tiny PXE server and starting the whole flashing proceedure over again?

Why do you want to go back to
Why do you want to go back to NOCALL?  If you are connected to the node with your computer, click on Node Status.  Here is a screen capture of one of my nodes on the basic setup page.

If you are not connected to your node, tell us exactly what you have on screen, how you are connected, and preferably a screen capture of an ipconfig command from your computer.

"Arnt you supposed to see something thew NOCALL to see who's connected?"

No.

'NOCALL' is seen during 'first install'.
After the node name and password is set, the node reboots into AREDN with the new Node Name.
After the reboot 'NOCALL' is gone.

We went though this many times while you were trying to flash the node - STOP TRYING TO USE WIFI!!!!!

Connect a cat-5 or cat-6 cable from your computer to the LAN side of the POE injector that is powering the node.  The WiFi on your computer CAN NOT connect to an AREDN mesh node - that are speaking different languages.

Not sure why the image did not show.  Let me try it different...

If your WiFi is off, where are you seeing a WiFi connections list?

Once you have the node flashed, the WIRED connection from the computer to the node (or presumably in this case the POE injector) should be set up as a DHCP client.  The node will provide an IP address to your computer.  Open your favorite web browser (Firefox, Chrome, etc) and put localnode.local.mesh in the address and you should see the node.  This is all right in the instructions.

Tell us how your computer is connected to the node.
Is your computer obtaining an IP address from the node?
Tell us or show us the location your web browser is trying to view.
If there is an error message, give us the exact error message.

No poe injector
I'm using a manual dumb switch one side in and out the other a spliter shut off firewall and have no DHCP to Assign I did try the one for lan that appears on NOCALL but still no connection?
nc8q

Punctuation please.
'dumb' switch is fine.

"one side in and out the other"
? What has 'sides' ?

"a splitter shut off firewall"?

'DHCP' is assigned by the node and given to the computer.
Your computer should be set up to request an  IP address via DHCP.
If hooked up correctly, your computer will receive an IP address from the node via 'DHCP'.

"I did try the one for lan that appears on NOCALL but still no connection?"

Please define 'one'.
'one' what?

In 'NOCALL state, your node is configured with a node name and password, it reboots
and NOCALL is gone. Do not look for NOCALL after the node reboots.

No poe injector
?
A POE injector or POE switch is necessary to power your LHG dish.
I am baffled as to how you power your LHG dish without POE.

I'm using windows 8
The only connection I have is Ethernet that says network 5gmesh node. All wifi connections are disabled. The dumb switch is a spliter on one two port side either in or out.and the one port side is both in and out only the dish is connected to two port side.eventuly I will add a router.I turned off the fire wall to allow page to come up.computer set to find ip and DHCP settings no connection to page.tried using the lan DHCP on the page like the one you showed a picture of that was given to me after several flash attempts.

"I'm using windows 8"
This is good to know, thanks.

"The only connection I have is Ethernet that says network 5gmesh node."
Marvelous. Now we know where the source of the '5gmesh node' reference.

"The dumb switch is a spliter on one two port side either in or out."
I do not know how a 'dumb ethernet switch' becomes a 'splitter'.
I do not understand 'two port side' nor 'in' and 'out' on a 'dumb switch'.
Lastly, after your LHG dish is flashed with AREDN firmware, the switch is no longer needed and should be removed.

"and the one port side is both in and out only the dish is connected to two port side."
Again, I do not understand 'one port side' or 'two port side' or 'in' or 'out' in reference to an ethernet 'switch'.

"computer set to find ip and DHCP settings no connection to page."
I am confused by that part.
Your computer's network settings should be set to obtain an IP address via DHCP on its ethernet adapter.
Your web browser application on your computer is used to display web pages.

"tried using the lan DHCP on the page"
I am confused by that part.
How are you 'using the lan DHCP'?
Your computer uses its LAN settings.
You use a web browser to view web pages.

I hope this helps,
Chuck

You posted
localnode.localmesh:8080/local
node.localmesh:8080/
NOCALl-147-172-185.localmesh.8080/

None of the above are valid.
Use:
http://localnode.local.mesh/cgi-bin/mesh
-or-
http://localnode.local.mesh:8080/cgi-bin/status
if you feel compelled to use port 8080 instead of the default HTTP port of 80.

a direct connection from dish to computer.

There should be a POE injector between the LHG dish and your computer.

Use the POE injector that was included with your LHG dish package.
Connect the included power supply to the POE injector.
Connect the 'Data+ Power" connector to the LHG disk with an ethernet cable.
Connect to RJ-45 plug to your computer's ethernet jack.
Plug the POE injector into a 120 volt source.
...

"The computer is connected to in and out one port side of dumb switch it has two buttons to change two port side to in or out not powered."
I am baffled.
I am unaware of a 'dumb switch' that has a 'side' or an 'in' or an 'out' or 'buttons'.
What is the make and model of your 'dumb switch' ?

Dumb switch: Oh, my!
That device is an electric switch, not a network data switch.
"A network switch is a multiport network bridge that uses MAC addresses to forward data at the data link layer (layer 2) of the OSI model. "
No wonder you were having a high level of difficulty loading AREDN firwmare onto your Mikrotik device.
:-|

How cruel of that manufacturer not to mention that it does not perform forwarding of data to all its ports.

Here is and example of a cheap network switch:

Does your computer obtain an IP address from your LHG dish?
If yes, then enter
http://localnode.local.mesh
into the address area of your computer's web browser.
