Hi All
I'm new here, I've been following AREDN for some time now and have just ordered a HAP ac2 which should arrive in a couple of days.
I've been looking on the AREDN site but have found that the map doesn't show an accurate picture of the UK layout. Is it lagging behind or is there another method of accessing the UK map.
I can't believe that the UK hasn't got an installed infrastructure already
Many thanks
Andy

Which map?
The old static historical legacy map:

The new live updated-daily world map:

The AREDN World Map is real-time and updated every six hours or so. But it needs access to the UK network via a Supernode, and one hasn't been added there yet.

Thank you both for your replys.
Orv, would I right in thinking that there is not much of a coverage within the UK, I have seen a few individual nodes (Look like tunnel nodes) in the south east of England and I found a small group in the north east via youtube but beyond that, the network seems very sparce.
What is required for a Super Node and what is the beniffit?

I'm currently trying to flash a Microtik HAP ac2 but it is not playing ball. Are there any other super nodes in the UK do you know, and what is the benefits of having a super node?

According to the AREDN World Map (a real-time map), there aren't currently any supernodes in the UK. Wouldn't hurt to have one there.
As far as flashing the ac2 goes, it can be a bit tricky as you have to do each step - many folks end up skipping over a step and end up frustrated.
Personally I find the Linux procedure more reliable than the Windows version (but then I'm a geek...). But you still can't skip any steps :-)
Drop me a DM and I'll send you an invite to the AREDN Community on Slack. Lots of really helpful folks there.
