Trouble loading Firmware XW.v5.5.10 on to new PowerBeam M5 400-ISO
Guys, help....

Running into a "Wrong Firmware version is uploaded. Please upload the correct version and try again." issue when trying to downgrade to FW XW.v.5.5.10 on a new PowerBeam M5 400-ISO.  I have XW.v5.6.15 currently on the device but cannot down grade to v5.5.10.  It appears this radio may be different than my current PBE M5-400. BTW, I'd tried both AirOS and TFTP to downgrade without success.

Has anyone run in to this problem and have a solution?

Below is a listing of the board.info info file.

Trouble loading Firmware XW.v5.5.10 on to new PowerBeam M5 400-I
Sounds like a similar issue I'm working with on a 2017 XM AirRouter that had a signed version of 5.6.15 on it.

Try taking it to XW6.0.3 and then see if you can take it back to xw 5.5.10
Don't go higher than 6.0.3 or you might not be able to go back without TFTP

I was able to load 3.17.1

I was able to load 3.17.1.0RC1 directly from AirOS XW.v5.6.15 without needing to downgrade to XW.v5.5.10.
Was reading about similar issues people were having with their nanostations and solutions. I should have searched first. Thanks.

Have a Happy New Year!!!!

n the near future we are

In the near future we are going to officially deprecate flashing via the web UI.

We have fixes in place in current nightly builds to allow TFTP flashing on even the latest AirOs versions that do firmware checking and that will soon become the only supported method to flash Ubiquiti hardware.

Good to know.  TFTP flashing

Good to know.  TFTP flashing is the way most network gear, that I've encountered, get firmware loaded anyway.

For me the shock was that I (incorrectly) assumed the radio on the new PBE-M5-400-ISO was the same as the PBE-M5-400 I got 3 weeks ago.

KD0GG,  to remove any doubt,

KD0GG,  to remove any doubt, the difference between the "PBE-M5-400-ISO" and the "PBE-M5-400" was only the (different) version of AirOS received on these devices (and the ISO had the extra RF shielding), correct?   If for some remote chance the "board ID" is different on these devices, that would be significant and we'd need to know if this is this case.

Oh..., I see this is a new board ID, reviewed your ticket:

PBE-M5-400 :   0xe4e5
PBE-M5-400-ISO:  0xe6e5

Same issue on new M5-300 ISOs
Hi,
I had the same issue three days ago when adding a nem M5-300-ISO. Direct upload of AREDN worked using the nightly build. There is some difference to an older PBE-M5-300 device. Only the frequencies are shown on the ISO, no channel numbers. On the PBE both is shown.
I set up some "unsupported" devices. Where to send the info-Files?

I don't recall  any prior
I don't recall  any prior contribution of the boardid details from AirOS for a PBE_M5-300-ISO model.  We do need this information and prescribed process is to enter a ticket to track:  http://bloodhound.aredn.org/products/AREDN/dashboard .  The login is same as aredn.org site.  If any issues, post the data here and I'll enter the ticket.
