Hello,

I am curious about the PowerBridge by Ubiquiti and AREDN firmware.  Since the PowerBridge is technically the same as a Rocket will it support the AREDN firmware?

Thanks,
Jeremiah

They are not currently
They are not currently supported.
I would recommend opening a ticket (http://bloodhound.aredn.org/products/AREDN/dashboard) for us to investigate support.

After we review, and IF we deem that it is possible, do you have a unit to donate to the project for testing?

Hello,

This is Jeremiah again I looked at my callsign and realized the KE0KJT was showing up.  My new vanity is N0KMO so I had to create another account do to fact I could not find a a way to change the callsign on the first.

So on donating a unit for investigation please explain more how that works...

Generally....
Generally....
  1. open a ticket in Bloodhound (under the "For Developers/Ticket Tracking" menu)
  2. attach the following:
    1. /board.info file from AirOs
    2. a capture of the command (via SSH on AirOs): dmsesg
  3. If AREDN accepts the ticket, you may be asked to load test firmware files (via TFTP)
  4. We try to do all this remotely where possible.
  5. If we aren't able to get it working remotely, then, we may ask you to ship hardware to us for further investigation (with serial consoles, etc)
    1. Risks:
      1. there is a small chance of bricking the hardware
      2. there is a small chance of needing to open the hardware (possibly destroying waterproofing and damaging the case)
  6. If you would like the hardware back at the end of the process, send a return shipping label and we will ship it back to you.
