New Regional sub-topic

Hi,
We are deploing a small AREDN mesh in southern Italy as a trial at moment limited to our local radio club in Sorrento (Naples/Salerno area); we call this network SARIMESH that stands for "Sorrento Amateur Radio Internode MESH".
We have also created a web site / blog to support this experiment: http://www.sarimesh.net  ; at present the access to this site is limited only to local radio club members or invited persons.
A support web site is also available at http://meshtest.sarimesh.net  where a view of actual network operation is made available for general access either via the SARIMESH connected users or via general internet; some sections on this site are only available for SARIMESH connected users.
All  these web sites are at present only available in italian due to the local interest we was starting with.

Based on the first results of this experiment we are now trying to extend this mesh and are looking for interest on it !

Could it be possible to setup in the regional forum a sub-forum related to Italy in such a way to use it as a place to stimulate possible interest ?

Thanks for your attention

Yes, private messages are a feature of the AREDN website. See the article Private Messaging Available

I like all your charts!   Is there a visual map to give everyone an idea of where these links are?   Local interested people would know to be able to connect in.   If you publish lat/lon from the Setup page to show on AREDN map, they will see them on along with the forum.   The rest of us can look on remotely too.

Hi Joe,
Hi Joe,
thanks for your interest...
I have not jet made any effort to geolocalize our nodes because all are really known to our club members...
I will try to populate those data in such a way that our nodes can be visualize on the geomap...

I was also thinking to create a tunnel to join other meshs as well but due to the fact that initially we was attempting only a local focus I did not make any effort also on that..

I will try to make a small post this evening on our local site to introduce the AREDN connection to our club members.

I am creating a personal account for you on our web site so that you can join our local club activities as well..
How can I safely send you your credentials ?... I am not aware if there is a private message feature here on the aredn forum..

Thanks for your attention
