I ran the setup procedure to install Tunnel Client on my Linksys WRT54GS v4 today. I used -- wget http://bit.ly/meshvpnclient and then sh setup_vpn
The procedures seemed to end OK and asked to reboot.
The "Tunnel Client" tab now appears on the Setup page of the router interface. But when I click on Tunnel Server - a message is displayed "VPN software needs to be installed"
Hi Shaji,
I can create an account for you on my server to test your setup? Do you have your VLAN switch setup for WAN access?
Send me an email with your node name if you want.

I would suggest working with the local ham's as well.
While tunnels may get you somewhere else in the world, that network is unlikely to exist in a real emergency and be of little use.
I would think of them as a tool to help bridge areas until enough operators in an area become interested to do RF linking.
I agree. I am hoping to connect to local nodes soon.

To answer the question, the WRT54GS v4 only has 4MB of storage. You need a device with 16MB, like any/all of the Ubiquiti supported devices have.
