firstboot status page loop
I'm stuck in a first boot status page loop. I have entered my call sign and password, hit save and root. I wait for the reboot and can only get the first boot page again. Any ideas why? Lite Power Beam m5

click the Save & Reboot button.
Begin the node name with your CALLSIGN in all capital letters
click the Save & Reboot button.

Reset the network, restarted
Reset the network, restarted the computer, and changed computers. Repeated the process on the second computer, still stuck in the call sign password page loop. It is like it will not save the information to move on.

How recently did you buy this
How recently did you buy this device?  I'm asking because what you describe is similar to what happened to me last month with a new hAP ac lite for a friend.  It just would not take the sysupgrade.  I banged my head around for days before I tried the V7 sysupgrade and ... it worked!

This was fhe very first time I had to use the V7.  I put a sticker on the node to warn to only do V7 updates from then on.

This node is old and was just being upgraded to the latest firmware. The node was working before the upgrade.

Re: firstboot status page loop
Same issue here -- stuck at the firstboot screen with a LiteBeam LBE-M5-23.  Any likely solution for this?

What are you doing and what are you doing it with?
What instructions are you following?
What node name are you entering?
What OS is your workstation?
What firmware did you boot?

Re: stuck at the firstboot screen
I've done other AREDN installs before, including on a Ubiquiti Rocket M2.  But I am definitely a novice at all of this stuff!

Trying to put AREDN onto this LiteBeam M5 so I have some good gain on 5GHz.

Workstation is a MacBook Pro running Sequoia 15.17.3.

Following the instructions I found here: https://docs.arednmesh.org/en/latest/arednGettingStarted/installing_firmware.html
-- For Ubiquiti 802.11n installs on a Mac.  Used the "termial" and then the built-in TFTP client.

Tried to boot this firmware:  aredn-3.25.10.0-ath79-generic-ubnt_litebeam-m5-xw-squashfs-factory.bin
-- I see that is for the LiteBeam M5 "XW".   Mine is the LiteBeam LBE-M5-23.  Maybe that is the problem?

Tried node name:  K1ZK-LiteBeamM5-1

Your procedure looks correct.
k1zk:
I am unsure about matching that firmware to your device.
That firmware is 'untested'.
"LiteBeam M5   5 ath79 generic ubnt_litebeam-m5-xw 64MB untested released"

This is the most recent firmware I could find in my archives:
aredn-3.22.12.0-ar71xx-generic-ubnt-lbe-m5-squashfs-factory.bin
aredn-3.22.12.0-ar71xx-generic-ubnt-lbe-m5-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

'ar71xx' was dropped about that time in favor of 'ath79'.

I assume that if your device is not a 'xw', it does not have enough RAM to run the new firmware.

If it was an existing AREDN node, why did you use the first boot firmware and not the upgrade firmware?

LiteBeam M5 XW firmware will
LiteBeam M5 XW firmware will not run on an older LiteBeam M (without XW) device.

LiteBeam M5 XW firmware
RR ok I think that's the answer -- my bad getting the wrong device.  Maybe I can re-flash it with stock firmware and re-sell it.  Thx & 73!

Firmware for Old Nodes
I believe that AREDN 3.25.5.1 will run on the "old" nodes.  I have installed it in a couple of Nanostation M2 XM nodes.
