GL.iNet GL-AR300M16-Ext Flash Change
I was doing an initial install on a new AR300M16 today.  It appears there may be a new/different built-in firmware than what is described in the main AREDN Install Docs.

There was a firmware checker on the Local Upgrade page that prevented the page from reflashing with the AREDN Firmware.  The Upgrade section was in a different part of the menus and was not a side tab on the main admin frontpage.  I was able to bypass this by going to the advanced config or "Luci" interface where I went to the Firmware Upload page under System.  After uploading the AREDN Firmware, it showed prominent warning boxes.  I unchecked the "Keep Settings" and then checked "Force Upgrade".  This allowed the upload and reflash to occur, which took a little bit (I dunno, 3-5 minutes).  After waiting for the IP address on my laptop to update to the correct IP range, I then entered the AREDN node as expected with IP address 192.168.1.1.

I came here to check about
I came here to check about this. I just purchased a GL.iNet GL.iNet GL-AR300M from Amazon (July 9 2023) and experienced the same. Just for information purposes, here is some info from the out-of-the-box unit and a screen shot. The forced install worked fine and I did uncheck "keep settings.

LUCI would not handle newer
LUCI would not handle newer versions over 3.24.10.0 for me but find with 3.24.  The force page never showed with the newer ones.It did updaate to 4.26.1
All seems good
