Dear developers,
Just a thought regarding the next firmware versions with the Babel protocol: instead of “deprecating tiny firmware nodes”, wouldn't it be possible to have a “very light” firmware version for them? For example, hardly anyone will run a tunnel or services on these listed devices. These entire program parts (and possibly more...) could be omitted and thus save a lot of memory.
Many of us have spent a lot of money on these devices, and the budget for our hobby is never as high as we'd like...as we all know...I would really hate to have to replace working hardware just because of this update.
What do you think? any chance ?

If you need a wireless access point on your AREDN network, plug any old router into a LAN port on the hAP, have it get a DHCP address from the hAP so it's on the network. Also turn off the router's DHCP server so it passes DHCP requests to the hAP to service. (and turn the hAP's internal radios off).
