TP-Link CPE610v2 problem

Hello.
I have 1 tplink node cpe610-v2 updated until 3.22.12.0 all ok, updated with NB 2024 ok, then 2065 ok, then to 2074 ok, 2081 ok, to 2089 ok, to 2096 ok, to 2103 ok, then I could not update more, try with 2110, with 2124 and with 2131 and the same error.

Firmware CANNOT be updated
firmware file is not valid: platform check image failed

Any ideas that will help me?

Thanks
Mario, LU4EOU

Maybe try to load a factory then a sysupgrade.

Or TFTP aredn-2131-2135615-ath79-generic-tplink_cpe610-v2-initramfs-kernel.bin
then upload
aredn-2131-2135615-ath79-generic-tplink_cpe610-v2-squashfs-factory.bin

Good that you included the supportdata file.

Thank you Chuck for your quick response.

I'll try these options. The strange thing is that I was able to upgrade to NB2103 and then I couldn't do it anymore.

Thank you again and happy 2023

you can either make that edit on your node in the /usr/local/bin/firmwarecheck.sh file
OR
reload with a fresh initramfs.bin file + sysupgrade.bin from the latest nightly.

CPE 510 v3.2

I am not sure which version to go on. I need to flash two tp-link CPE510s. The Device Model is 3.20, but the Firmware Version is 2.2.2. Which AREDN Files do I use, the V3 or the V2?

Hours later...of course I had to have a question on Chuck's night off.

Wow
Thanks Chuck, that FW finder looks extremely helpful. Fortunately K1KY was able to help me with the right firmware. I was 3 minutes away from flashing the incorrect FW. For the record and for anyone looking for the answer to this question: Flash the DEVICE VERSION firmware, NOT the firmware version.
