Team Talk 5
Rather than filling up the "what do you normally deploy " thread I though I would make another easily findable thread just for TT5

I have TT server installed on a pi on the mesh and can connect via my phone, my laptop etc.

One issue I have noted however is the TT client will not accept my MacBook Air intergrated webcam. None of the options will "initiate it"

Video format
Try various combinations of the Image Format and Video Resolution.  Many of us have found Teamtalk to be fussy about that.

Ive tried all options, but I haven't meddled with the custom side yet as I am not sure which to use or what sizes are available.

Good deal
Glad you got it working.   That configuration uses more bandwidth that is probably necessary.   You might try see if you can make it work with lower FPS settings.

I had a TT5 server working on
I had a TT5 server working on a Pi, just to see if I could, wiped it out for another project, and now I want to set one up again... I gave it a shot the other day and had trouble. I'll take another crack at it and will be in touch if I have trouble. I'm glad there's other people on the forum that have done it.

Moving from one pi to another
So, since this might be the thread for TeamTalk, I'll toss this out. I have TeamTalk running a server on a raspberry pi. I want to move it over to a different one that is already set up with a webserver (so it's not a case of swapping SD Cards out). Has anyone migrated their settings and configurations from one server to another? And if so, what steps/issues did you run into?

More or less, I'm wanting to know how to move the existing channels, users, files, etc (the database and whatever else) to the new server.

Have a great day. :)
Patrick.

Teamtalk 5: how to move the existing channels, users, files

Hi, Patrick:

Run the setup wizard and find the 'files' directory.
To get the files transferred, copy that directory too.
e.g.

cd Downloads/<path-to-teamtalk-directory>/server/
./tt5srv -wizard

Just keep pressing <enter> until you see:
Directory for file storage, e.g. /home/bill/srv1/files: ("/home/teamtalk/files")

Migrating Teamtalk
It's pretty straightforward - the only file you need to copy and move is the config file:  tt5srv.xml
