I had installed a beta version on my 2 GHz loco node which is on a tower. It is getting its power via the 5ghz POE interface. I am unable to do any reset or log in via the browser. The 5GHz node does not see it via scan.
How do I do a reset via the daisy chain POE configuration? I don't want to climb the tower to remove it.
Most POE's have a reset button and that is the same as the reset button on the node but depending on what node is the first in the chain 5GHz in this case it may not reset the 2GHz. I had the same issue and after a couple resets the other node did resurface. Both were Ubiquiti M2 and M5 and a IP camera. I did have to go to the site to reset them as the on line reboot did not work. I'm not a fan of updating nodes over the air and prefer to leave well enough alone... "if it ant broke don't fix it" but we are hams and we can't help ourselves!
Gook luck!

Hi, Dan:
This might be a nice feature.
Open question:
Does resetting the main node to 'first boot' also assert 'first boot' on the secondary POE'ed node?
If yes, then could the built-in ethernet switch set a port forward from xx80 from 'main' to 192.168.1.2:80 on the secondary port?
Then maybe the node on the secondary port could be configured. ?
Chuck
When I did the update to my 2ed node on the chain it did not come back until I did the site visit and the update did not work as well because when after I did get it the 2ed node back it had the older version still onboard. I don't think that 2 nodes respond to one command but I could be wrong. Your suggestion may work but I think I will try your idea on the bench...your results may vary!
Chuck, I did what you suggested "first boot." Nothing works now. When I tried to connect. I do NOT get a redirection. So I am hose.
You're going to have to do a site visit but you should not need to climb depending of course where the POE is on your tower and connect to its LAN port with your laptop and you should see the "NOCALL" . I don't see any way around that but hopefully the 2GHz node returns after the boot too.

Additional thought: you may want to bring a 2GHz AREDN node with you in case the node on the tower is running and not connecting d2d. A Microuter is handy for this check.
I was able to take it down. Had to remove the daisy POE from the nanostation-m-xw 5 ghz node. Had to go direct to the 2.4 ghz node POE
So you reversed it or removed the 5GHz altogether?
