Hi Folks,
I startet with Aredn once again. (last Year I configured some Loco M5 Stations.
Now I have 3 Loco M5 running with an Grandstream Telefon and its is working fine.
I have recently purchachsed an NanoStation M5 to get an 4th Node running. Unfortunatelty the Flashing did not work.
I checked first the Firmware on den Os and it says XM.v6.2.0 So I decided to take the 3.20.3.1...-m-factory.bin. I used the Main Lan connection to flash the device.
The file was copied to the Node, and the Node was blinking very heavily. After all the very left LED was blinking and finally goes of.
I tried to ping the node on 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.20 but nothing happend.
after that I tried the -xw file but the tftp tells me wrong FW file and stopps with error code 2 Firmeware check failed.
when I start the node over the Power and the two Lan LED are fashing once and then only the power is on. after a soft reset the far right LED is fast flashting and finally goes of. Nothing elese happens.
I can easily enter the tftp mode and flashing is finishing with the same result.
The device is a used on I have now Idea how old it is, but there are the old Logo on the Front an the the POE injector.
kind regards Gerold
I have read now several posts but I have no solution so far.
yes I changed it.
"I tried to ping the node on 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.20 but nothing happend. "
At a minimum, there should be a time-out error.
Hi, Gerold:
Ensure that you do not have Wi-Fi enabled on the computer.
i.e. No other routes than to the M5.
After flashing the .bin file, the device should reboot and be a DHCP server.
Reset your computer to be a DHCP client.
If your computer does not obtain an IP address from the M5, something is amiss.
Chuck
The Node has only one route with a 8 Port switch. Wifi is of at the Computer. After Fashing (i startet a new try i Waited 20min and nothing else happens. only the Power LED. I've tried to Ping the 192.168.1.1 but i got a timeout. also on the 192.168.1.20. after Resetting the computer of DHCP. I get no IP adress from the node, Ifconfig tells me, and after reboot the PC and the Node everything is the same no connection to the Node.
Kind regards Gerold
it worked! Thank you for that Hint.
The node is now updating from the ARDEN FW to the newest one.
