Ubiquiti nodes from 2014 : migration from HSMM to AREDN

I have two ubiquiti bullet M2 HP nodes from 2014.

They are running HSMM 3.1.

Can I just upload the firmware version:

- File: aredn-3.20.3.1-ar71xx-ubnt-bullet-m-sysupgrade.bin

or do I need to do the factory default firmware upgrade?

Thanks!

Upgrade
I suspect you could just go to the sysupgrade and be fine.   (However, my opinion is worth what you paid for it :-D  )

I agree with W6BI. Should be
I agree with W6BI. Should be able to just use the sysupgrade file to load from any OpenWRT derived distribution, including the old HSMM. IIRC, AREDN is actually a fork of HSMM.....

u-boot/bootloader may have been updated since 2014.
I vote for a TFTP load of -factory.bin.

uboot version should not
uboot version should not matter anymore.

Personally, I would recommend a sysupgrade with "SAVE SETTINGS DISABLED".
If you have issues, you can then do a TFTP load of factory.bin

hwat worked

Sysupdate failed and locked the system.

I did a remote hard reset and then uploaded the AREDN software via tftp.
