Failure to install nightly build on Mikrotik SXTsq2nD
I received a Mikrotik SXTsq2nD today and attempted to install nightly build 1158 in it.
The rb.elf file loaded and booted, and the main screen gave me ****UNSUPPORTED HARDWARE***
I pressed on and uploaded the 1158 .bin file.  I almost immediately got

Bad Gateway

The process did not produce any response

Several tries yielded the same results.

I asked Damon K9CQB about it.  He sent me the build files he's used with success on this model.  I tried those but got the same results.
I've attached a Support Data file (renamed to .txt to allow upload) for examination.
Thanks.

SCP results
Steve, KC0EUW suggested I try the file copy procedure to install this firmware.   I did, and got the follow error:

root@NOCALL:~# sysupgrade -n aredn-ae6xe_sxtsq2nd-6e19994-mikrotik-rb-nor-flash-16M-sysupgrade.bin
Device unknown not supported by this image
Supported devices: rb-750-r2 rb-750up-r2 rb-750p-pbr2 rb-911-2hn rb-911-5hn rb-941-2nd rb-951ui-2nd rb-952ui-5ac2nd rb-962uigs-5hact2hnt rb-lhg-5nd rb-lhg-5hpnd rb-lhg-5hpnd-xl rb-ldf-5nd rb-map-2nd rb-mapl-2nd rb-wap-2nd
Image check 'fwtool_check_image' failed.

I'm wondering why the supported devices list doesn't show the sxtsq2nd.

Any suggestions?

I just tested flashing the SXTsq2 using the newest 1181 build
Orv,
I just flashed two more of my SXTsq Lite2 devices using the newest nightly build (1181). I saw that Joe included that profile in this newest build from this morning. It works perfectly.
I would give it a try and see if that works.

Soon!
Excellent!   I'll do that when we get power back.  Edison killed power to our area and many others in SoCal due to high winds and resulting fire danger about 24 hours ago (I'm on generator power at the moment).  Google the Easy Fire to see what the local excitement was yesterday.
Expect to get power back sometime tonight or tomorrow.

That's sad - I'm praying for you
Orv,
I've been watching those fires online. I hope you make it through all of this. We're praying for you guys out there.

Back on the air!
Got Edison power back about an hour ago.  It's amazing how many electronic devices have to be attended to after having been powered down that long..
(Local network access site is not yet powered back up - patience...)

Another no-go
This is weird.  Using 1181, I get the same results as 1158.    Bad Gateway.
Using the scp/sysupgrade method, I get this:

root@NOCALL:~# sysupgrade -n aredn-1181-c17f565-mikrotik-rb-nor-flash-16M-sysupgrade.bin
Device unknown not supported by this image
Supported devices: rb-750-r2 rb-750up-r2 rb-750p-pbr2 rb-911-2hn rb-911-5hn rb-941-2nd rb-951ui-2nd rb-952ui-5ac2nd rb-962uigs-5hact2hnt rb-lhg-5nd rb-lhg-5hpnd rb-lhg-5hpnd-xl rb-ldf-5nd rb-map-2nd rb-mapl-2nd rb-wap-2nd
Image check 'fwtool_check_image' failed.

I don't see the target device mentioned.  Wonder what's going on?  This is the correct image for this device, right?

You have the proper .elf file selected from the 1181 download?
Orv,
I can only think that your TFTP client is flashing the wrong rb.elf file (the old one). But I know how good you are at this stuff, so I can't imagine that it is that.
I'm racking my brain on this.
I have loaded 3 of these RBSXTsq2nD (AKA: SXTsq Lite2) devices and I'm using them right now. I'm installing one of them in my go-box along with a SXTsq-5HPnD.
I really hope you can get yours flashed. If you can't I will ship you one of mine and you can just send me yours. I have iperfSpeed and Meshchat installed already as well.

Test these images
Orv,  please try these images:

Mikrotik has a different model string on this device.

We figured as much.  Results later tonight, after the trick or treaters are gone :-)

Nightly build on Mikrotik SXTsq2nD -- 2 new panels flashed

Joe AE6XE -- Thanks for posting these updated images. Just what I needed. I now have two 2GHz SXT panel units ready for field testing with Town of Portsmouth (RI) Emergency Management Agency.

Steve noticed this glaring difference.
Steve KC0EUW found this glaring difference in the nomenclature of the data.txt file in our SXTsq2nD devices.

Orv's node:

========== /usr/local/bin/get_hardwaretype ==========
unknown
========== /usr/local/bin/get_boardid ==========
MikroTik RouterBOARD RBSXTsq2nD
========== /usr/local/bin/get_model ==========
Unknown Hardware
========== /usr/local/bin/get_hardware_mfg ==========
MikroTik RouterBOARD RBSXTsq2nD

My node:

========== /usr/local/bin/get_hardwaretype ==========
rb-lhg-5nd
========== /usr/local/bin/get_boardid ==========
MikroTik RouterBOARD SXTsq 2nD
========== /usr/local/bin/get_model ==========
MikroTik RouterBOARD SXTsq 2nD
========== /usr/local/bin/get_hardware_mfg ==========
MikroTik RouterBOARD SXTsq 2nD

I'm sure the hardware is the same, but I'm not sure why the hardware descriptions are different. Mine were purchased directly from Latvia.
