'MAC2' in file '_setup default' does not exist

Keith, AI6BX, and I were going to replace a suspect Rocket M2 the other evening on San Marcos Pk (northern San Diego county) and we couldn't get the M2 to come back to us on first boot after a tftp load.

I brought the M2 back to the shack and experienced the same difficulty.  I then tried connecting to it via wifi---some of you may not realize you can do this and I didn't think of it while on the mountain top.  It worked.  But when I entered the initial parameters and clicked 'Save' it came back with

Configuration not saved
parameter 'MAC2' in file '_setup default' does not exist.

I hadn't seen that before so I'm hoping Joe can have a look at it.  The Support Data file is attached.

The system log has the following errors:
kern.notice kernel: [   38.266729] jffs2: notice: (1179) jffs2_build_xattr_subsystem: complete building xattr subsystem, 0 of xdatum (0 unchecked, 0 orphan) and 0 of xref (0 dead, 0 orphan) found.
Wed Jan 30 12:21:31 2019 daemon.info mount_root: performing overlay whiteout
Wed Jan 30 12:21:31 2019 daemon.info mount_root: syncronizing overlay
Wed Jan 30 12:21:31 2019 daemon.err mount_root: failed to sync jffs2 overlay

The file system is mounted in RAM under /tmp/root:

Filesystem           1K-blocks      Used Available Use% Mounted on
tmpfs                    30480        80     30400   0% /tmp/root

Thus, even if it could save, a reboot would not retain.   Suggest a clean tftp upload of image,  clear browser cache, capture support download (before), then try to set basic settings, if failure capture a 2nd support download (after).
