VOIP APPS FOR WINDOWS
Does anyone have a good suggestion for a VOIP Phone emulator for Windows?  I would like to be able to use my laptop computer to make VOIP calls to my VOIP phones on the MESH system.

Bria
Are you using Bria with a SIP PBX?
They tell me it does not work for direct IP calls.

Zoiper

is one I have used on Android and on Windows too.  It does both SIP and IAX which was why I picked it originally.
Now I use AndroVOIP (Android IAXRPT) for the smartphone, but I still have Zoiper installed.
Mind you, I am using this with a server not for direct-IP dialing.

Android 5.1.1 not working
Linphone does not seem to work IP direct anymore after upgrade to Android 5.1.1 (at least on Samsung).
Anybody else notice this?

It does continue to work on Android 4.4, fyi.

Linphone problems
I am now having difficulties with Linphone IP direct with IOS.  Please send them a debug log of what happens on your system.
I cannot send a log at the moment because of another problem they are working on.

ekiga: windows voip and video chat
I found Ekiga to be easy to install and configure to work on my win7 laptop with asterisk running on my mesh server.

Ppossible free use of Zoiper VoIP for mesh
We have been frustrated by some problems with Linphone, so I have been looking into Zoiper.  Its free version requires that you attach to a cental
provider.  But its paid version allows direct connections between end points.  I have asked them if the paid version could be made available for free for
our mesh use.  They would like to know how many people are using AREDN mesh.  Do we have a number for that?    Is Zoiper something that would be useful if it were free?

Zoiper VoIP
I have loaded Zoiper VoIP on two different phones using free version connecting to my local PBX I am not sure what I am missing by not having paid version can you provide me more info.  As far as you question 2 users here and possible 5 or 6 more in this area .

Zoiper
The paid version supposedly provides direct ip calls between endpoints.

VOIP Extensions
Ventura County has 26 extensions on its PBX - of those, I suspect only a dozen or so would use Zoiper.
