GL-USB no path to Internet

Installed AREDN firmware on a GL-USB - tnx for the thread on getting it done right, CQB! I want to dl packages, but being a USB w/o Eth ports, I haven't found a way to get a path to the Internet from either windows boxes or Ubuntu. Is there some trickery involved? (This is the only 2GHz node in town. I don't want to buy more boat anchors to play with this very fun gadget.) TIA

I connected to a neighbor node that has
'Allow others to use my WAN' enabled.
This requires
a node and managed switch or
a GL AR150 or
a Mikrotik hAP or
an Air Router.

Thanks for the call on Mesh Phone, Chuck!  W/o another 2GHz node this GL-USB might be something to pass on to somebody.

Almost cool<grin>.

We plan to look at this
We plan to look at this further to see how to better support a WAN/LAN interface on various hosting platforms (OSX, Linux, Win).   It's a bit tricky since WAN still requires VLAN1 tagging.

GL-USB150

Hi Guys, My Gl-USB150 arrived today. Just five minutes to install the latest nightly build. No problems and all went smoothly. Yes I ticked the box, do not save settings, before uploading the new AREDNMesh bin file. Looking forward to getting it to work on the Samsung Tabloid.

Keep up the great work you guys. Many thanks
