AREDN 4.XX - do we install apks or ipks?

Do we install .ipk or .apk files in 4.XX?

The "upload file" dialog comes up filtering files for "*.apk"

I am trying to install KN6PLV's redo of Meshchat - there are both .ipk's and .apk's available on github but neither of these file types will install in 4.XX. Maybe these aren't for AREDN software?

Hardware is (ath79/generic) ubnt (rocket-m-xw).
