MikroTik hAP ac lite stuck on reboot screen
Hi,
I am having some issues flashing this hAP ac lite. I can get to the sysup grade screen, point to the file and click upload and it starts uploading, The timer begins, counts down (says rebooting) timer still counting down, then the timer runs out, and the screen changes to a rebooting screen again with a little blur bar going back and forth over and over. I let it run all night like that and the next morning it was still doing ti.

I never see the "No-Call" screen before I see the sys upgrade screen. The only option on that screen is to point to the file and upload.

I am using:
-hAP ac lite
-Benfei USB - Ethernet adapter
-Dumb switch
-PXE Server

Hopefully somei one has had this issue and found a way to get around it.
Thanks,

Hi Brian,
Hi Brian,

just to be sure:
- did you change the LAN Port after the sysupgrade screen?
==>For the Mikrotik hAP ac family of devices, disconnect the Ethernet cable from the WAN port (1) on the Mikrotik and insert it into one of the LAN ports (2,3,4) before you proceed.

If yes - did you change your PC LAN settings back to DHCP after the sysupgrade file upload? (if yes, sometimes it helps to run a ipconfig /release and ipconfig /renew command in the CMD box, to receive a new IP from the node's DHCP server)

Let's try :-)

sysupgrade not installing
Yes, here are the steps I used:
1.rename the ~Kernel.bin to "rb.elf"-moved the file to the pxesrv folder in files
2.set my Ethernet port to static ip of 192.168.1.10
3.Ran PXEsrv in Admin mode
4. Changed the IP to the 162.168.10
5.connected through an unmanaged switch to port 1 on the router
6.clicked "Online" in pxesrv
7 Held down the reset button on the router
8. powered on the router.
9 waited for the ACK to show up in pxesrv
10. clicked offline on pxesrv
11. changed to port 2 on the server.
12. I can now ping 192.168.1.1
13. change browser to 192.1.1:8080 and point to the sysupgrade file
14. Upload the file.
15. I never out of the reboot screen and when I set back to DHCP my becomes 168.254.9.232

It is as if the file never loaded and the AREDN is still running from the RAM.
II unchecked the Boot file naming box in pxesrv, and pointed to the corrct upgrade. I even tried renaming the upgrade file sys.bin and it made no difference.

At this point I am not sure what else I can do.
Thanks,

Fixed
I have found the issue. Because I have new router I should be using the v7 systemupgrade. I was using the other one. I just decided to try the v7 and it worked.

Thanks for the input.
