The forum may not show it, but AREDN is alive and kicking in Rhode Island! Posting some details here to let folks know where to look:
- Our main point of discussion is nemesh on groups.io. Not super active, but there is discussion
- There is a monthly Zoom meeting the second every month at 7:30PM

Doing a little AREDN CPR here on the West Central Florida coast, south of Tampa and east of Sarasota. I’m currently restoring the old network for the Sarasota Emergency Radio Club. I moved here about a year ago from Rhode Island where, as Ben said, it’s still “alive and kicking.” I continue to maintain the Rhode Island network remotely, including equipment and firmware updates.
We’re bringing the Florida nodes back to life. Most are running firmware that’s 3–4 years old and the hardware is just barely hanging on, but we’ll update things as we can. I try to check in to the NE Zoom meetings, so feel free to message me and I can send out Ben’s invitation.
