Cannot make link for Camera
Hello ...

I've got a camera on mesh that I'd like to offer still shots from to the mesh.  The camera works fine, the video link works fine.  I already have motioneye taking a feed from the camera elsewhere on the web but I would like a still image available from the location where the camera is.  The camera does produce a good still image using it's own web server, but it requires a login.

Unfortunately, this camera requires that the url be something like http://user:password@hostname:and some more ....

I cannot figure out how to make a link on my local services page that has anything in front of the host name.  I can add plenty after the port number sure, but I cannot make a link with the stuff between http:// and the host name.  Of course, for now I have the user and password listed on the link that exists now and the camera requires a login and works.  And if I enter the correct url into my browser it logs in and displays the picture as it should.

How do I create a link from my AREDN device providing DHCP that has the login information before the host name already embedded?

Thanks,  Ed

User URLs
Ed, if nobody comes up with an answer, this is probably best suited for an enhancement request via AREDN's GitHub instance.

Fortunately, my camera allows a URL with a username/password

Hopefully, in your camera's documentation, something like this is available.

Yes it does, and it works
Yes it does, and it works well.  The problem is that to give it a link on the mesh I need characters between the http:// and the host name.

Some cameras require the login info before the hostname, some do not.  This will influence my next camera purchase choice!

Thanks Chuck,
Ed
