Tunnel Request - North Texas

I recently configured a Rocket M2 and Nanostation M2 and tested my equipment to verify it is working.  I took the Nanostation to within 700 meters line of sight of KF5NNY (appears to be positioned on a water tower) but could not establish a connection.  I would like to plan an RF node near one of the local repeaters, but information on the existing nodes (e.g., antenna height) on the network map is limited.

If I could tunnel into the mesh, I can query more details about a node for planning purposes.  Currently, my ISP is not reliable to maintain a node over tunnel, so my objective is to either establish RF in the area or shut down.

Also, other than looking up a node operator's call and trying to find him online (sometimes only a mailing address is available), is there a directory or preferred way to reach out to operators?

Thanks for your suggestions.

Suggestion:

set your node bandwidth pointing at the water tower site to 10Mhz bandwidth, reboot, do a wifi scan.   (look for the node)
set your node bandwidth pointing at the water tower site to 5Mhz bandwidth, reboot, do a wifi scan.   (look for the node)
set your node bandwidth pointing at the water tower site to 20Mhz bandwidth, reboot, do a wifi scan.   (look for the node)

if you can reach it, set your node settings accordingly and start meshing (ssid, bandwidth, channel)
